Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and assess surveillance tools and reports, analyzing trading and market activity, and expanding the program.
- Establish policies, procedures, and tools to improve surveillance and control efforts in trading.
- Utilize technologies and automation for monitoring electronic communications to meet regulatory requirements.
- Maintain oversight of surveillance recordkeeping in compliance with FINRA and SEC standards.
- Support risk assessments, conduct regular testing to evaluate policy and control effectiveness within the Compliance team.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and other corporate functions to implement compliance technologies, controls, and processes.
- Engage in firmwide compliance matters, liaise with Senior Legal and Compliance professionals and regulators.
- Address industry-wide concerns, contribute to formulating responses to new regulations, trade patterns, and other initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years working at a Financial Service firm or regulatory agency.
- Series 7 certification is mandatory. series 24, 57 qualifications are advantageous.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment, with flexibility to adjust priorities as needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to consider diverse perspectives in a collaborative setting.
- Build cooperative relationships across departments, particularly with technology and legal personnel.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels and regulators.
- Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high ethical standards, confidentiality, and privacy.
