In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing trading desk risk and profit & loss (P&L) monitoring, as well as operational controls. The role involves gaining a comprehensive understanding of the trade life cycle and operational processes at each stage.
Responsibilities
- Conduct real-time monitoring of risk, P&L, and funding usage related to trading activities
- Provide oversight on various types of trading risks including market risk, counterparty credit risk, funding risk, and operational risk
- Validate risk and P&L bookings, conduct reconciliations to ensure accuracy of real-time trading performance
- Collaborate with traders to establish risk parameters, validate models, and perform stress-testing
- Implement controls for trading risk, bookings, and funding operations, utilizing scripts and developing dashboards; also involved in outlining policies and procedures
- Analyze trading performance, P&L, and risk attribution, and generate management reports
- Maintain close communication with traders, operations teams, finance departments, and other relevant stakeholders
Requirements
- Possess a degree or higher qualification in a quantitative discipline; additional certifications such as CPA, CFA, FRM are advantageous
- At least 3 years of experience in roles within quantitative trading firms, investment banks, or hedge funds, such as Trading Support, Product Control, Market Risk Management, or Risk Strategies
- Hands-on experience in developing risk management processes and tools for monitoring
- Thorough understanding of financial products, with knowledge of cryptocurrency products considered a plus
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
