Description
Binance is in search of a meticulous and analytical specialist for Transaction Monitoring to join our growing team. As a key team member, you will play a crucial role in upholding the security and integrity of transactions within our platform. Your primary duties will involve monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on transaction trends, while also implementing procedures to identify and prevent fraudulent activities and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations into customer activities to identify potential risks like money laundering.
- Evaluate alerted transactions using risk-based approaches and internal guidelines.
- Analyze customer behavior and profiles to ascertain the need for further investigation.
- Investigate both on-chain and off-chain transactions that appear suspicious or unusual.
- Utilize blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Elliptic, Chainalysis, TRM) for transaction screening.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing unusual transactions and suggesting risk mitigation tactics.
- Submit internal Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
Requirements:
- Preferably possess 1-3 years of AML/CTF transaction monitoring experience, ideally in fintech or cryptocurrency sectors.
- Strong familiarity with blockchain technology and crypto transactions is highly desirable.
- Understanding of Italian regulatory standards from Banca d’Italia and local FIUs, especially indicators of anomalous patterns.
- Basic proficiency in utilizing blockchain monitoring and analytics tools like Chainalysis, Elliptic, TRM.
- Proficient in conducting risk assessments, trigger reviews, and enhanced due diligence.
- Skilled problem-solver with compliance experience.
- Capable of adapting to ambiguous conditions in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates self-motivation, dedication, and creativity in achieving objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, focused on delivering value to stakeholders.
- Ability to ask pertinent questions and exercise sound judgment when collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in Italian is compulsory; considerable proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential. Knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and G-suite applications.
