What We Seek:
We are on the lookout for a UX/UI Designer who can contribute to Decentraland's team by crafting remarkable user-focused experiences for our web-based platforms. The primary focus of this role is to design seamless and intuitive interfaces that enhance the interaction within our diverse community.
The ideal candidate possesses a blend of strong UX and UI design skills, effective collaboration capabilities across cross-functional teams, and a creative approach to tackling user-centric challenges. Your role will involve close collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to create web experiences that empower users and enhance engagement within the Decentraland ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities – UX Design:
- Gain a profound understanding of user requirements and pain points within the product’s context.
- Perform user research through a variety of methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Develop user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes to establish seamless and user-friendly experiences.
- Refine and iterate on designs based on feedback and data insights to ensure alignment with user objectives.
- Collaborate with product managers to prioritize improvements in user experience.
Key Responsibilities – UI Design:
- Create high-quality designs and visual assets for web interfaces ensuring adherence to Decentraland’s brand guidelines.
- Establish and maintain a coherent design system encompassing UI components, style guides, and documentation for consistent application across platforms and projects.
- Design responsive and accessible interfaces compatible with various devices and browsers.
- Coordinate closely with developers to facilitate successful implementation of designs and user interfaces.
- Keep abreast of the latest design trends and technologies for continuous innovation and enhancement of user interfaces.
Team Collaboration:
- Actively participate in team discussions, brainstorming sessions, and design evaluations.
- Cultivate a collaborative atmosphere by exchanging knowledge and offering feedback to colleagues.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align on project objectives and deliver impactful solutions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Possess 4-5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a focus on web platforms.
- Demonstrate the ability to produce responsive, user-friendly, and visually engaging web designs.
- Experience in creating, documenting, and maintaining scalable, reusable design patterns.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Figma for wireframing and prototyping.
- Comprehensive understanding of user research methods, interaction design principles, and accessibility standards.
- Capable of creative problem-solving and driven by the passion to enhance user experiences.
- Proficient in the English language.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with interaction design principles and tools like Lottie for web animations to craft interactive user experiences.
- Acquaintance with Decentraland’s ecosystem, Web3 technologies, or blockchain concepts.
- Basic knowledge of CSS and front-end development.
