Description
As a Web Experience Designer & Payload Developer, you will be integral in crafting and constructing the forthcoming generation of our content-centric web experiences. Your role will entail crafting reusable templates, implementing them within Payload CMS, and devising modular components and widgets to facilitate our teams in efficiently expanding content output. This blended position merges design proficiency with practical front-end development and CMS integration, ensuring our digital assets are visually stimulating and technically resilient.
Responsibilities
- Design and furnish reusable page templates (like product landing pages) that maintain brand uniformity and scalability.
- Originate designs using Figma for assessment.
- Construct and configure these templates within Payload CMS to enable easy modification and reuse by editors.
- Formulate and deploy reusable widgets/components (for instance, author profile cards, live pricing blocks, rich content sections).
- Coordinate with Organic Growth, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure that templates and widgets harmonize with performance, UX, and SEO/AIO requisites.
- Guarantee consistent application of responsive design and accessibility mandates across all components.
- Integrate external data sources (such as APIs for pricing, content feeds) into CMS-powered components.
- Supply technical documentation and training to internal teams on the most effective utilization and expansion of the systems you construct.
- Stay informed about design and front-end development best practices, alongside advancements in CMS frameworks, to introduce innovation to our web experience.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of involvement in web design and front-end development, preferably within global or content-laden contexts.
- Proven expertise with Payload CMS (or comparable headless CMS platforms like Strapi, Sanity, Contentful), encompassing content structuring and tailored component development.
- Proficient design abilities evidenced by a portfolio displaying UI/UX and component-based systems.
- Adeptness in contemporary front-end technologies (React/Next.js, TypeScript, CSS frameworks).
- Proficiency in creating reusable widgets and components that seamlessly integrate with CMS workflows.
- Knowledge of accessibility, responsive design, and performance enhancement.
- Background in interfacing with APIs and dynamic data amalgamations.
- Fluent in English with robust communication and teamwork skills, adept at collaborating with multifunctional teams.
- Self-reliant, detail-focused, and capable of prompt delivery in a fast-paced setting.
