We’re hiring a hands-on Economics Lead who combines economics, data science, and systems design to shape incentives, optimize network behavior, and influence product roadmaps owned by the founding team. You’ll design, analyze, and operationalize models for production, collaborating across engineering, research, go‑to‑market, governance, operations, and marketing — moving proposals from concept → test → full release with clear evidence and rollback plans.
What You’ll Own
Incentive design: define supply schedules, distribution rules, participation mechanics, governance parameters, and penalty policies; align participant behavior with product goals.
Modeling & simulation: build agent‑based and analytical models; stress‑test under churn, latency variance, partition scenarios, and coordinated behavior; propose parameter ranges with confidence intervals.
Parameter systems: implement frameworks to set and adjust system parameters; ship activation thresholds, rollback plans, and documented assumptions.
Network health metrics: define metrics (availability, reliability, decentralization indicators, participation quality, congestion signals); deliver dashboards and alerting for drift and failure modes.
Failure‑oriented thinking: design for misuse, coalitions, and coordination failure, not just the happy path.
Mechanism Book: maintain a living, versioned set of specifications, trade‑offs, post‑mortems, and change logs.
