The Role

We are seeking a driven Account Executive to play a key role in growing Messari's Enterprise Platform business. This individual will be tasked with expanding business relationships within existing accounts and exploring opportunities in new markets. Collaborating with the sales team, business development, and leadership, the Account Executive will identify strategic prospects and actively pursue new business opportunities. This involves engaging with stakeholders, managing customer relationships across various departments, navigating procurement processes, and providing advisory support to clients.

As a client-facing position, the Account Executive will champion our platform, cultivate trusted relationships, and ensure clients derive value from their engagements with Messari. Additionally, they will collaborate cross-functionally within the organization and serve as a customer advocate.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of the crypto industry and have prior experience interacting with key players in the field. We are looking for someone capable of driving both one-off transactions and long-term strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a robust pipeline leading to new contracts and growth of the Messari Enterprise Platform
  • Foster relationships with key customer stakeholders and drive customer satisfaction
  • Articulate how Messari's platform meets specific customer needs
  • Engage in industry events and conferences to expand networking opportunities and enhance brand visibility

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of sales or business development experience in professional services, technology, or fintech sectors
  • Background in crypto, private equity, venture capital, or related industries
  • Track record of handling both transactional and strategic deals effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to represent Messari professionally in various settings
  • Organized, with a focus on personal and organizational efficiency
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, collaborative team environment
  • Strong communication skills for presenting and discussing complex issues with diverse stakeholders
  • Team-oriented yet self-motivated mindset

Compensation: $128,000 on-target earnings (OTE) plus equity
