Working at Wintermute

Wintermute is seeking an Algorithmic Trader with proficient coding skills in Python and a keen interest in hft, liquidity provision, and crypto trading. As an Algorithmic Trader at Wintermute, you will have the autonomy to manage your own "desk" from the outset. This role offers the opportunity to develop trading algorithms and strategies while receiving mentorship from seasoned traders and developers, including the founders/management team. You will have substantial independence and responsibility early on, with a strong focus on learning and growth.

Responsibilities

Following a brief training period, your responsibilities will include enhancing existing strategies, introducing new trading products, and refining the technology behind the trading systems. This role will involve analyzing significant volumes of trading and transaction data, deriving insights, prioritizing solutions, and implementing them based on your findings. Successful candidates can expect to contribute directly to the company's profit and loss and are encouraged to explore innovative ideas and strategies.

Skills and Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a relevant role, recent graduates with internship experience at other HFT firms are also encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in Python with 1-3 years of coding experience.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Willingness to learn about algorithmic, high-frequency, quantitative, and liquidity trading.
• Genuine interest in blockchain, crypto, and DeFi developments.
