AML Analyst We seek a diligent and driven AML Analyst to join our AML Team, crucial in safeguarding Shakepay and its clientele.

In this position, your responsibilities will involve conducting name screenings, monitoring transactions, and investigating potential suspicious activities. You will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with regulatory mandates by identifying and reporting suspicious transactions and managing large virtual currency transactions.

We invite candidates with strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to promoting a secure and compliant crypto environment, regardless of prior experience level in AML.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and investigating name screening alerts against various sanctions lists and escalating genuine matches to senior compliance staff.
• Analyzing customer transactions for signs of suspicious activity, documenting red flags, and conducting enhanced due diligence when necessary.
• Preparing and filing regulatory reports such as Suspicious Transaction Reports and Large Virtual Currency Transaction Reports according to prescribed guidelines.

Key Requirements:

• Proficient in data entry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous AML experience with a bank or fintech company
• CAMS or CFCS certification
• Basic understanding of Bitcoin and virtual currencies
• Bilingual capability (English/French)
