As an Associate General Counsel in the Institutional practice group, you will play a pivotal role in the Global Legal team, actively supporting global institutional businesses and trading activities, alongside the Peer-to-Peer (P2P) platform. Responsibilities
- Serve as a vital legal advisor within the global institutional legal team, concentrating on institutional business, trading, and P2P platforms, ensuring compliance and offering robust legal assistance.
- Strategically provide legal counsel and oversight on intricate legal and regulatory matters influencing institutional clients, including contract negotiations, structuring crypto financial products, and adhering to local and international financial regulations.
- Analyze and manage risks associated with digital assets, focusing on how these assets are employed and traded by institutional clients and on the P2P platform.
- Collaborate closely with product development and business development teams to guarantee alignment of new products, services, and business initiatives with regulatory standards, in line with the company's strategic objectives.
- Develop and refine policies and procedures governing institutional and P2P operations to strengthen the legal and regulatory framework, tailored to the evolving digital asset landscape.
- Tackle any additional legal matters as directed by legal team leaders, ensuring agility to address emerging challenges and opportunities within the legal domain.
Requirements
- Admitted to practice law in the United States, possessing 3 to 10 years of experience within the financial markets sector.
- Demonstrated success in a reputable law firm or top financial institution in an in-house role, with exposure to institutional trading, ideally in the digital assets field.
- Ability to function autonomously in a fast-paced, multicultural, growth-driven environment.
- Proficient in building trust and dispensing effective legal counsel to business units, with the skill to navigate evolving legal contexts adeptly.

The salary for this role ranges from $152,000 to $229,000 based on various factors like expertise, skills, experience, and location. Additional components like performance bonuses, long-term incentives, and a range of benefits may be included in the compensation package.
