About the Role
This position is part of a program designed to identify and cultivate AI-native young talent. As an Applied Data Scientist intern, you will have a hands-on role in AI research and production systems, collaborating with full-time algorithm engineers on LLM applications and AI system architecture.
This is a role where you take ownership of deliverables, conduct experiments, and contribute code that has an impact.
What You'll Do
Assist in developing LLM-powered pipelines and AI application components Create and test prompt engineering strategies, retrieval-augmented generation setups, or agent workflows Participate in model evaluation by defining metrics, running benchmarks, and analyzing results Analyze system performance to pinpoint areas for enhancement in latency, accuracy, or cost-effectiveness Leverage AI coding tools as an integral part of your workflow to enhance productivity Work closely with senior engineers and researchers to grasp production AI system architecture
What We're Looking For
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field Expected graduation in 2026 or 2027 Proficiency in Python programming and adept at data manipulation using Pandas and NumPy Basic understanding of machine learning principles and familiarity with at least one deep learning framework (preferably PyTorch) Keen interest in LLMs and generative AI with a willingness to engage in hands-on experimentation Strong problem-solving skills and ability to approach complex issues methodically Available for a 6-month full-time commitment

Engagement in personal projects, coursework, or competitions involving LLMs or generative AI Familiarity with tools like LangChain, OpenAI API, or Hugging Face Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
