Job Role Overview: The role of a blockchain/smart contract security engineer at Binance involves focusing on ensuring the security of various blockchain projects, particularly across the BNB Smart Chain (BSC) and other chains. Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive background checks on projects based on client requests, leveraging OSINT expertise and other skills to assess potential risks linked to project team members.
Integrate on-chain data with off-chain information to conduct effective investigations.
Gather intelligence on a wide range of contacts within the Web3 sector to expedite thorough investigations.
Collaborate with security experts and developers to devise and deploy robust security solutions.
Monitor blockchain networks for any suspicious activities and promptly respond to security incidents.
Generate detailed security reports outlining findings and offering practical recommendations to clients.
Stay abreast of the latest blockchain security trends, continuously enhance investigative techniques.
Requirements:
Pursuing or holding a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Proficiency in traditional OSINT investigations, along with the ability to connect with crypto information.
Expertise in tracing fund flows across multiple blockchains, including tracking funds through bridges.
Basic understanding of common smart contract vulnerabilities, current security incident trends, and prevalent on-chain scam techniques.
Strong communication and coordination skills, ability to handle stress, and absorb new information swiftly.
Proficient in using blockchain analysis tools and software.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Sharp analytical and problems-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Additional Skills:
Understanding of EVM and non-EVM blockchains, layer 2 solutions, and familiarity with DeFi design patterns.
Experience in blockchain forensics, incident response, and analyzing smart contracts and blockchain transactions for security threats.
Previous roles within the blockchain or cybersecurity sectors are advantageous.
Proficient in managing Law Enforcement procedures and a substantial network in the industry.
Knowledge in KYB and KYC procedures for entity verification.
