Business Development and Partnerships Director – London Office

We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Development and Partnerships Director to join our team in London. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the UK financial services market, both from a traditional finance and digital assets perspective. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding Wintermute's existing businesses globally and developing new opportunities in the region.

As the Director, you will have full ownership of opportunities and strategic growth plans in the region, while receiving guidance and support from the team. With our top-tier liquidity products, strong partnerships with prominent blockchain projects, and a pipeline of growth opportunities, you will contribute to Wintermute's success without the constraints of legacy processes or bureaucratic hurdles.

Responsibilities:

• Grow our institutional OTC business globally by developing and executing a growth plan in the region.
• Collaborate with other teams to launch new products, gather customer feedback, and develop launch plans.
• Foster relationships with high-profile projects, local venture capitalists, and other ecosystem players involved in crypto liquidity provision.
• Strengthen partnerships with key counterparties such as exchanges, custodians, lenders, and infrastructure providers.
• Streamline business development processes and enhance operational efficiency, including CRM utilization and campaign effectiveness.
• Stay updated on crypto ecosystem launches and news to identify cooperation and business development opportunities proactively.

Hard Skills Requirements:

• Proven experience in both traditional finance and digital asset services with high-performing teams.
• Deep understanding of spot and derivatives OTC products, particularly options.
• Previous experience in business development, partnerships, or client-facing roles such as B2B sales or investment banking.
• A track record of delivering measurable business results, including quota achievements.
• Strong understanding of Asian and Western business mindset and practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on providing education and clarity in service offerings.
• Trading or crypto knowledge is highly advantageous, including a willingness to understand blockchain technologies, algorithmic trading, and liquidity provision fundamentals.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
