Business Development at Wintermute
We seek a driven Business Development Manager to elevate our OTC business to new heights. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge or a strong interest in the crypto market and should be enthusiastic about making a significant impact at Wintermute.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expand the OTC business in your designated market through devising and executing a strategic growth plan, acquiring new counterparties, nurturing existing relationships, and collaborating with developer teams on trade execution enhancements.
- Enhance the crypto liquidity provision business by strengthening connections with current crypto projects and forging partnerships with new ones.
- Foster new relationships with renowned crypto projects, crypto VCs, institutional investors, miners, and other entities within the crypto ecosystem.
- Collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams to boost brand awareness in target markets.
- Enhance existing relationships with global exchanges and facilitate their growth.
- Stay informed about pertinent launches and developments in the crypto ecosystem to identify collaboration opportunities proactively.
Basic Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field. A prestigious MBA is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Understanding of Western business practices.
- Experience in the financial services/capital markets industry, with exposure to crypto markets/trading companies/hedge funds being a bonus.
- Prior experience in business development or client-facing roles such as B2B sales, management consulting, or investment banking.
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on clarity and responsiveness.
- Track record of delivering tangible business results, articulated through metrics/achievements.
- Familiarity with institutional crypto, institutional traditional finance, or blockchain projects is highly beneficial.
- Willingness to grasp the basics of blockchain technologies, algorithmic trading, and liquidity provision.
