About The Team:

The Binance Pay team is at the forefront of redefining global financial transactions and management practices. With its innovative payment solution, Binance Pay facilitates seamless crypto transactions for users, revolutionizing the digital payments and financial technology landscape.

About The Role:

We are in search of a motivated Business Development Manager to drive the expansion of Binance Pay in the Africa region. This role involves identifying strategic merchant partnerships, leading successful commercial negotiations, promoting product adoption, and establishing collaborations to enrich the Binance Pay ecosystem. You will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams like Product, Marketing, Partnerships, Compliance, Legal, and regional counterparts to implement go-to-market strategies and amplify payment use cases across different markets.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard valuable merchant partners and strategic collaborators across key sectors like financial services, e-commerce, retail, fintech, and gaming.
• Oversee the complete business development cycle, including prospecting, outreach, solutioning, negotiating commercially, contract agreements, and supporting integration for launches.
• Cultivate robust relationships with merchants, payment service providers, wallets, and ecosystem partners to drive growth through active account management and partner support.
• Develop and implement pipeline strategies to escalate transaction volumes and expand merchant presence in targeted markets.
• Coordinate with Product and Tech teams to tailor payment solutions, simplify merchant integration processes, and enhance product-market alignment.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing to strategize and execute joint activation campaigns to foster adoption and enhance customer acquisition.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, regulatory updates, and emerging payment technologies to shape strategic decisions.
• Prepare business cases, pitch materials, and internal reports for leadership evaluation.
• Track partner performance and KPIs, proposing strategies for optimization to scale Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) and usage.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, risk frameworks, and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in payments or fintech sectors with a deep understanding of the payments industry.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following roles: partnerships/BD, account management, or project management, or a combination of these.
• Self-motivated, solution-oriented, results-focused, and agile in dynamic settings.
• Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills to manage diverse stakeholders across functions and regions.
• Sharp critical thinking and analytical abilities to draw insights from data.
• Fluency in English is essential for effective coordination with global partners and stakeholders, additional languages are advantageous.
