Business Operations Manager
Position Summary
The Business Operations Manager is a key support role for the Senior Vice President of AI Data Centers and the wider team, focusing on efficient project execution. This role involves project coordination, operational logistics, and executive assistance to ensure the smooth implementation of AI data center initiatives.
The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment. Acting as the primary liaison between leadership, internal teams, and external partners, the individual will be responsible for maintaining clear communication, efficient workflows, and effective issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Logistics:
- Aid in planning, scheduling, and monitoring cross-functional AI data center projects throughout their lifecycle, coordinating with engineering, operations, and procurement teams.
- Assist in procuring hardware, networking equipment, and services, ensuring timely delivery to data center locations.
- Track project budgets, invoices, and expenses for cost management and financial reporting.
- Manage travel arrangements, site visits, and logistical support for project teams and leadership.
Executive & Operational Support:
- Provide senior leadership with high-level support, including preparing and documenting meetings, and organizing action items.
- Develop and organize presentations, reports, and communications for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain an orderly system for project documentation, contracts, and correspondence.
Act as a bridge between senior leadership and team members, vendors, contractors, and other departments.
Communication & Reporting:
- Create and distribute project updates, dashboards, and progress reports to stakeholders and leadership.
- Organize and document project meetings to ensure clear communication of decisions and next steps.
- Support adherence to safety, regulatory, and environmental standards across AI data center projects.
Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years in project coordination, operations, or similar role.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
Preferred:
- Experience in data center operations, AI infrastructure, or high-tech projects.
- Familiarity with AI workloads, GPU clusters, or large-scale compute environments.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, budgeting, and vendor management.
