Responsibilities:
In this key role, you will play a vital part in ensuring adherence to internal and industry standards for Customer Due Diligence (CDD) practices. Your focus will be on accurately detecting suspicious activities, addressing fraudulent behaviors, and driving CDD-driven improvement initiatives within the team.
Key Tasks:
- Conduct thorough reviews of new customer onboarding cases to ensure compliance with the company's KYC policy and customer risk assessment.
- Verify KYC documents using validation tools and reliable sources to confirm AML documentation.
- Collect necessary CDD/EDD documentation to complete the AML onboarding process in line with policies.
- Follow-up on pending CDD/EDD requests within the agreed upon service level agreements.
- Investigate potential matches flagged by the screening application against sanctions, PEPs, and adverse media news, taking appropriate action.
- Provide relevant information to management on AML/CDD matters.
- Ensure high-quality customer service and handle inquiries in a professional manner, escalating as needed.
- Contribute to CDD function enhancements and procedural maintenance.
- Manage specific projects as they arise.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Completion of higher education like Higher Diploma or Degree.
- 2+ years’ experience in AML/CDD/EDD review or KYC-related work.
