This opportunity involves overseeing the development and execution of a holistic information security strategy for Binance with a focus on aligning IT governance and security risk management systems with best international practices and regulatory mandates specific to the financial markets and virtual assets providers from the United Arab Emirates.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing IT Security Risk Management measures for Binance UAE.
• Enhancing the security framework by refining policies, standards, and processes.
• Leading Security Risk Management activities in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Upholding accountability to regulatory authorities on Security and IT Governance issues.
• Enhancing security governance practices including regulatory reporting.
• Participating in the defense model to ensure the security of funds, data, and systems.
• Fulfilling security obligations for governance, regulatory compliance, and related matters.
• Assisting in internal and external audits pertinent to Technology and Security.
• Driving cyber threat management and conducting vulnerability assessments per regulatory guidelines.
• Managing IT security risks for new projects and integrations with third-party vendors.
• Overseeing risks associated with third-party integrations to align with security standards.
• Managing the local security team and contributing to global departmental improvements.
• Handling security incidents and ensuring timely reporting to senior management.
• Ensuring continual alignment with regulatory standards and international compliance norms.
• Implementing resilient practices to maintain Binance's product quality.

Requirements:

• Currently based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
• Proficiency in both English and Arabic to liaise with overseas partners.
• Prior experience in a regulated financial institution.
• Established international exposure and cybersecurity background within regulatory contexts.
• Extensive senior management and cybersecurity expertise.
• Active involvement in the security community through publications or conferences.
• Demonstrated experience in multicultural, fast-paced global environments.
• 10+ years of experience in finance or related sectors emphasizing security and technology compliance.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, cybersecurity, or a relevant field.
• Strong leadership abilities, effective communication, and listening skills.
• Proven track record in managing cybersecurity operations.
• Well-versed in international data privacy and security frameworks.
• Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity & Privacy Framework, ISO standards, CIS, and PCI-DSS.
• Strong commitment to excellence, collaboration, and team success.
• Experience in delivering effective business and technical security solutions.
• Keen interest in current cybersecurity trends and emerging threats.
• Prior engagement with regulatory bodies and implementation of regulatory guidelines.
• Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CEH, CIPP, CIPM, FIM, ISO 27701, and others are advantageous.
