Job Summary
Polygon Labs is seeking a Senior Associate Community Lead to drive community activities for Polygon ID. The goal of this role is to raise awareness and achieve real adoption of Polygon ID by engaging with developer communities. This is an opportunity to work with industry experts and contribute to the growth of Web3.
The Senior Associate Community Lead will report to the Product Delivery & Developer Experience Manager and collaborate closely with the DevRel and Marketing teams.
Key Job Responsibilities
As the Senior Associate Community Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Defining and executing strategies to raise awareness and drive adoption of Polygon ID.
- Engaging with developer communities, both within Web3 and beyond.
- Understanding effective actions to promote adoption of Polygon ID.
- Providing insights from the community to enhance the product experience.
- Collaborating with technical writers, marketing, and other teams to deliver the best user experience.
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong knowledge and passion for digital identity, verifiable credentials, blockchain, privacy, and decentralization.
A Day in the Life
Your daily activities will include:
- Planning and executing community actions/campaigns to drive adoption.
- Collaborating with the DevRel team and interacting with the community through social media platforms like Twitter.
- Engaging with developers through platforms like Telegram groups and Discord servers.
- Expanding into new communities outside of Web3.
- Staying updated on the decentralized identity space and Polygon ID product.
- Conducting surveys to understand community needs and increase adoption.
- Measuring the success of different actions/campaigns to achieve real adoption.
- Informing the developer community about new releases and gathering feedback.
About the Team
The Polygon ID team values an outgoing, optimistic, and proactive attitude. The team structure is kept flat to encourage autonomy, proactivity, teamwork, and trust. While remote work is the norm, regular in-person meetings take place every two to three months.
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are preferred:
- Proven experience and passion for digital identity, particularly in SSI, DID, VC, and related areas.
- Established contacts within the ecosystem, including companies, communities, and associations such as DIF and W3C verifiable credential working groups.
- Solid understanding of Web3 and knowledge of the Ethereum ecosystem is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Marketing knowledge would be beneficial.
