The Institute of Free Technology is a startup studio fostering a more liberated internet, allowing communities to transition into network states. Within the institute, the team at IFT Investments aims to safeguard and expand treasury assets across various investment strategies.

Responsibilities:

Role Overview:

The company is in search of a mid-level Crypto Investment Analyst and a senior-level Crypto Investment Associate to lead investment decisions within the liquid token portfolio. Ideal candidates should possess a strong analytical background and a deep practical knowledge of crypto markets, particularly hands-on experience across different protocols and ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investment Analysis & Research:

• Conduct comprehensive market analysis, considering global macro trends and digital assets.
• Research emerging sector narratives, protocols, and potential investment opportunities.
• Develop financial models, valuation frameworks, and detailed investment memoranda.

1. Portfolio Management Support:

• Assist in trading & execution for approved strategies and deals.
• Monitor portfolio performance, risk metrics, and provide monthly performance reports.
• Track investment objectives, rebalancing needs, and uphold detailed investment documentation.

1. Strategic Development:

• Establish and nurture significant industry relationships.
• Act as a subject matter expert on market trends and support senior investment managers.
• Participate actively in investment committee discussions and contribute to strategic planning.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in crypto investments, including protocol usage and trading activities.
• Submission of a concise cover letter detailing past crypto investment experiences, current market views, and preferred investment focus areas with specified projects of interest`.
• Failure to provide the requested cover letter described above will result in the application not being considered.

Hiring Process:

1. Initial call with the Talent team.
2. Interview with the Investment Analyst.
3. Interview with the CFO.
4. Completion of a paid project (2-3 hours' duration).
5. Interview with a co-founder.

Note: Background checks may be required for this position.

Compensation:

The base salary for this position ranges from circa $80,000 to $100,000 USD, with the option for payment in a combination of fiat currency and cryptocurrency.
