Role Overview

In the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO), your main responsibility will be to lead technological innovation in the distribution of private market investments to individual investors. You will be accountable for the product development function, driving the delivery of software platforms and products, and collaborating closely with the CEO on product strategy and vision. Building and supervising a top-tier tech team spanned across engineering, product, design, QA, and more will be a key part of your role. Your role will involve strategic leadership and engagement with essential stakeholders to ensure the delivery of impactful solutions. Your background and expertise in the financial services field will be crucial in designing a cloud platform for delivering multiple products and on-premise solutions, managing integrations with external partners, and creating applications that provide enterprise-grade, forward-thinking, and adaptable business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Use your system architecture knowledge to outline a long-term platform architecture for enabling flexible, cloud-based, white-labeled solutions.
• Evaluate the existing platform, and design, construct, and maintain applications that guarantee security, reliability, and scalability, aligning with evolving business needs.
• Develop data engineering capabilities to collaborate with data warehouse solutions like Snowflake for analytics and reporting.
• Make strategic decisions on resources, such as hiring, outsourcing, and managing the technology team to support ambitious growth plans.
• Offer strategic guidance and technical leadership to drive the technology team, nurturing a culture of innovation, excellence, and professional growth.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, client solutions, and compliance to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and implement top-tier security protocols to safeguard data integrity and asset protection.
• Identify risks and maintain a robust risk management framework with continuous vulnerability assessments.

This is a full-time position based in Singapore.

Desired Attributes

You should possess:

• Extensive experience, preferably in prior CTO roles, product delivery ownership, showcasing technical expertise, strategic vision, successful project management, and team development.
• Demonstrated success in enterprise software development and proficiency in multi-cloud architecture, ideally within the financial services sector.
• Deep domain expertise in the financial services industry, a strong grasp of private market assets, wealth management, banking, and distribution technologies.
• An entrepreneurial spirit, adaptability to change, and commitment to fostering a culture of high-quality code delivery.
• Excellent communication skills to excel in a dynamic environment and lead cross-functional teams in driving technology strategy.

Technical Proficiencies

• Expertise in multi-cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with deep knowledge of cloud architecture and deployment approaches.
• Skill in cloud-native technologies, including containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, and serverless computing to enhance scalability.
• Proficiency in a range of programming languages for creating scalable microservice architectures and integrating with legacy systems.
• Strong background in database technologies, covering both SQL and NoSQL solutions to design and manage scalable databases.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions, along with setting up monitoring and alerting systems for issue resolution.
