Through LayerZero's simplified, generic messaging protocol, developers will craft cross-chain dApps aiming to unify the potential of distinct blockchains. LayerZero has successfully developed and launched Stargate, the pioneer dApp, a fully composable native asset bridge allowing secure and fee-less asset swaps.

ABOUT THE ROLE

LayerZero is expanding its data team to include a dedicated Data Analyst to address the evolving challenges from increased data, developers, teams, projects, and innovation opportunities. As a Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in establishing a robust data foundation for a company leading the way in the web3 sector. You will collaborate closely with teams and leaders to unearth insights, drive decision-making, and spur innovation for our next-generation products and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a core member of LayerZero's data team, you will explore crypto data realms encompassing on-chain wallets and contracts, block and transaction data, insights from in-house systems, and external intelligence to amalgamate these diverse datasets into actionable data products for various stakeholders.

• Utilize and expand the growing Kimball dimensional model.
• Write SQL queries to enhance insights in our internal reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to perform ad-hoc analytics spanning engineering queries to product insights.
• Lead data quality efforts to refine and enrich datasets.
• Develop pipelines using SQL to clean, merge, refine, and aggregate data for organizational insights.
• Work on ingesting new datasets into the Snowflake data warehouse in collaboration with data engineers.
• Contribute to supporting high transaction volume through code implementation.

INTERESTS

We seek an individual with prior data analyst experience. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or relevant discipline is preferred, alongside equivalent practical experience.

REQUIRED

• Proficiency in SQL.
• Proven skills in data modeling, statistics, and analytics.
• Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a dynamic start-up culture, taking initiative and solving problems autonomously.
• Appreciation of data quality through incremental development.

BONUS

• Proficiency in general programming such as Python and Go within the data stack.
• Familiarity with Snowflake.
• Experience in constructing DAG-based data pipelines.
• Exposure to real-time data streaming pipelines.
• Previous involvement in blockchain technologies, smart contracts, and decentralized finance.
• Knowledge of Kimball dimensional modeling.
• Background in mid-to-large scale data stack operations.
