Responsibilities:
As a core member of the Data Engineering - Business ETL team, a pivotal aspect of your role includes managing the data warehouse and pipelines dedicated to financial and regulatory reporting. You will be instrumental in supporting Circle’s essential business functions, such as Finance, Accounting, and Analytics teams, ensuring operational efficiency and offering actionable insights. Primarily focused on facilitating operational growth, your responsibilities will revolve around maintaining the integrity and quality of data which significantly influences Circle's transparency, trustworthiness, and compliance needs.
Key Focus Areas:
- Collaborate extensively with cross-functional groups like product, engineering, analytics, and accounting teams to streamline scalable data processes for both new and existing products.
- Develop and maintain data ETL/ELT pipelines to aggregate essential data for various analytical and reporting requirements.
- Surface data for internal and customer-facing applications to fuel analytical, financial, and regulatory objectives.
- Create integrations with third-party systems to populate and distribute diverse datasets.
- Continuously enhance the efficiency, monitoring, and performance of the data warehouse.
- Innovate the current data storage and processing protocols inherent within the organization by consulting with various business units on viable strategies.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of a scalable data platform for processing, storing, and aggregating disparate datasets.
- Establish expertise in data modeling, data pipelines, data quality, and data warehousing, especially concerning financial data.
Required Skills:
- Possess a minimum of 2 years in professional data engineering roles.
- Proficient in at least one programming language like Java, Scala, Python.
- Demonstrated acumen in SQL within significant big data warehouse systems like Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks.
- Experience working with workflow orchestration management systems such as Airflow, Dagster, DBT.
- Proficiency in Cloud Services like AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with financial data, particularly in areas like payment systems, credit cards, bank transfers, blockchains.
- Basic understanding of open-source or related big data technologies.
- Able to adapt quickly and deliver on medium-complexity projects.
- Self-motivated individual who takes charge, delivers results promptly, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills enabling seamless collaboration with remote teams, effective idea sharing, and concept presentation.
Additional Information:
- Immediate PERM sponsorship available for eligible applicants.
- Compensation range starts from $120,000 to $162,500 with a 10% annual bonus target.
