Your Role:

You will be a crucial member of the Data Engineering - Business ETL team, responsible for overseeing the data warehouse and data pipelines essential for financial and regulatory reporting. Your contributions will support various Circle business functions, including Finance, Accounting, and Analytics, driving operational excellence and generating meaningful insights to fuel business growth. This position involves reshaping data flow across the organization, emphasizing the utmost integrity in data accuracy and quality to meet Circle's transparency, trust, and accountability standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating cross-functionally to design and manage scalable data life cycles for new and existing products.
• Building and maintaining data ETL/ELT pipelines to extract and aggregate data for analytical and reporting purposes.
• Integrating data into internal and customer-facing applications to support analysis, financial insights, and compliance needs.
• Establishing connections with third-party systems for data exchange.
• Enhancing data warehouse operations, monitoring, and performance.
• Innovating data storage and processing methods within the organization and beyond, enhancing synergy among different Circle teams and external applications.
• Contributing to the design and implementation of a scalable data platform for dataset ingestion, storage, and aggregation.
• Being a subject matter expert in data modeling, data pipelines, data quality, and financial data warehousing.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Scala, Python).
• Solid understanding of SQL in big data warehouse systems like Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, etc.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration engines (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, DBT) and Cloud Services (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
• Experience with financial data, preferably in fields such as payment systems, credit cards, bank transfers, or blockchain technology.
• Knowledge of open source big data technologies.
• Ability to grasp new concepts swiftly and deliver on medium-complexity projects.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented, thriving in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with remote teams.

Additional Information:

• This role may be eligible for day-one PERM sponsorship for qualified candidates.
• Compensation is determined by factors including relevant experience, skills, and organizational needs, with compensation ranges tailored to different locations.
• Compensation Package:
• Base Pay Range: $120,000 - $162,500
• Annual Bonus Target: 10%
• Additional Benefits: Equity, medical coverage, dental, vision, 401(k), discretionary vacation policy, 10 days paid sick leave per year, and 11 paid holidays annually.
