ABOUT US
Big Time is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Big Time Analytics team. Big Time is a game company focusing on Player vs. Environment action RPG games, along with a web3 gaming platform called Open Loot. The aim is to revolutionize the crypto gaming space by addressing UX, scalability, distribution, payments, and compliance challenges.
MISSION
The Data Scientist will play a crucial role in analyzing extensive datasets to extract valuable insights that will influence the success of Big Time's video game products. Collaboration with development, marketing, and product teams will be essential to understand player behavior, enhance game performance, and improve the overall player experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and apply machine learning techniques, including Supervised, Unsupervised, and Reinforcement Learning models, to boost player retention, increase conversion rates, and provide engaging gameplay experiences.
- Act as the main liaison among Marketing, Game Economy, Game Development, and Data Engineering teams, overseeing the creation of customized datasets to answer critical analytical queries and guide decision-making.
- Establish a strong framework for the Marketing team using SQL and predictive analytics to optimize user acquisition strategies and marketing expenditures.
- Collaborate closely with Game Development and Game Economy teams to offer predictive, actionable analytics that influence game design, feature enhancements, and economic strategies.
- Devise and implement strategies to optimize game currency Sinks and Sources for sustainable in-game economic growth, including pre-launch simulations to predict potential impacts.
- Lead the development of user-friendly dashboards and reporting tools for monitoring in-game economic structures and player engagement metrics in real-time.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related disciplines.
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and data science libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data insights into actionable strategies for both business and technical teams.
- Experience in A/B testing, experiment design, and causal inference for assessing the effects of game features and marketing campaigns.
- Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI to create dynamic data representations.
- Strong grasp of player behavior analysis, encompassing player segmentation, churn prediction, and lifetime value (LTV) modeling.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills for conveying technical insights to a diverse audience.
- Preferably, experience with Crypto or web3 development.
