About the role:

As part of the DeFi team, you will contribute to algorithmic trading activities across different blockchains. We are looking for a skilled DeFi Trading Engineer to enhance our trading strategies and develop new functionalities. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of DeFi, blockchains, and prior experience in automated trading. You will collaborate with Quant Trading Team members and Engineers throughout the project lifecycle, from conception to implementation. This role involves both on-chain and off-chain coding to build secure, high-performing systems that operate reliably 24/7. Knowledge of DEXs, protocol mechanics, blockchain fundamentals, and smart contract security is advantageous.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing scalable software for on-chain systematic trading.
• Enhancing off-chain applications using languages like Rust to support pricing, order management, risk analysis, and monitoring.
• Developing smart contracts to facilitate efficient and secure on-chain execution.
• Collaborating effectively within a global team, emphasizing transparent communication and timely delivery.
• Staying updated on DeFi developments to identify opportunities and shape long-term strategies.

Your Qualifications/Attributes will include:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
• 2+ years of coding experience in a compiled language.
• Proficiency in web3 programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, or Rust.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
• Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on code quality, maintainability, and documentation.

Nice to have:

• Experience with non-EVM blockchains such as Solana, Cosmos, Aptos, or Sui.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Proficiency in cloud computing and distributed systems.
