About the Opportunity

As we continue our global expansion, we are seeking a dynamic middle to senior level legal counsel with a strong background in law firms or in-house legal teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven expertise in capital market products, Web3 technologies, CeFi crypto space, digital assets, and related legal and regulatory aspects. This role presents a unique opportunity to influence the legal landscape of Web3 and collaborate with our Web3 team on groundbreaking initiatives. The successful candidate must possess exceptional legal skills, critical thinking abilities, risk assessment acumen, and a strong work ethic.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide legal guidance to our DeFi/Web3 and CeFi products and internal stakeholders on existing and upcoming offerings.
  • Collaborate with various teams to preempt legal, compliance, and regulatory challenges concerning product launches and maintenance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements for commercial and user interactions.
  • Develop terms for new services, events, disclaimers, and warnings independently.
  • Partner with risk, compliance, and licensing teams to monitor legal and regulatory changes in the DeFi/Web3 and digital asset space across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Conduct research on various Web3-related topics.
  • Coordinate legal insights with cross-functional teams within the legal and compliance divisions.

What We Look For In You

  • Law degree (LLB/J.D.) from Hong Kong, Singapore, or other common law jurisdictions.
  • Qualified lawyer with 8-12 years PQE at a reputable local or international law firm.
  • Deep knowledge of capital market products, digital assets, regulatory matters, and decentralized protocols.
  • Understanding of product lifecycles and experience in structuring exotic products is advantageous.
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to support team success, offer help, and manage reputational risks and crises effectively.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, with excellent communication and drafting skills.
  • Able to tackle challenges with a sense of humor.
  • Prior in-house experience at fintech or digital asset/crypto companies is a plus.
