Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers to enhance key infrastructural services such as logging, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Develop internal development environments and tools.
  • Aid developers in troubleshooting local deployments and optimizing computing environments.
  • Manage project tasks, scope work, and provide estimates for project delivery.
  • Provide guidance on long-term platform requirements and operational protocols, focusing on automation and enhancing service effectiveness and accessibility.
  • Establish and manage best practices for provisioning, application scaling, configuration management, capacity planning, and monitoring to increase organizational visibility into interactions and performance of distributed systems in production.
  • Analyze customer utilization of the platform to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a DevOps or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Typescript, and MongoDB.
  • Experience in creating docker-compose and Kubernetes configurations and environments.
  • Proficiency in optimizing and constructing infrastructure for NodeJS environments.
  • Experience in creating resilient CI/CD pipelines using Google Cloud Build.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux & MacOSX, networking, server, and cloud architectures.
  • Strong understanding of configuring, deploying, managing, and maintaining large cloud-hosted systems, including auto-scaling, monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery.
  • Proficiency in source control, continuous integration, and testing pipelines.
  • Strong background in open-source technologies.
