BitGo is seeking an adept Director of Engineering to oversee the Wallets Engineering division, responsible for driving innovation in core wallet technology and elevating wallet experiences for customers. While this role does not entail hands-on coding, the Director of Engineering will actively engage in the technical aspects of the team's work.

This is an in-office role located in NY, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the creation of pioneering wallet solutions catering to a diverse range of clients, from crypto-native firms to Fortune 500 companies.
• Ensure an exceptional user experience across the wallet platform.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and other vital stakeholders to define the product and technical roadmap for Wallets Engineering and effectively execute on it.
• Mentor engineering managers to cultivate the next wave of senior engineering leaders within BitGo.
• Cultivate an engineering culture that mirrors the company values of open communication, collaboration, accountability, craftsmanship, and a client-centric focus.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Possess a minimum of 14 years of software engineering experience, with at least 6 years in a managerial role and 2 years leading managers.
• Hands-on experience in crypto (professional or personal) or a keen interest in the field.
• Proven track record of successful integration into a new organization as a manager or director.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain top engineering and managerial talent.
• Prior successes in spearheading engineering-wide initiatives.
• Strong history of collaborating with product teams to shape product roadmaps.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, especially in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Hold a degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
