The Opportunity

We are seeking a Director of Social Media & Community Engagement to drive CoinDesk's social media strategies. In this role, you will develop, execute, and deliver social campaigns that increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts, and engage our audience. Collaboration with multiple teams across CoinDesk Media & Events will be critical in leveraging existing and curated industry content for social platforms frequented by our target audience. What You’ll Do:

• Develop, execute, and report on social media campaigns to grow and connect with our global audience across all social media platforms.
• Create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business goals and marketing objectives. Define clear objectives and strategies for each campaign, incorporating target audience insights and trends.
• Drive traffic to our digital media platform and increase attendance at CoinDesk events through targeted social campaigns.
• Manage content creation, publication, and sharing, ensuring brand consistency across all social media channels. Utilize curated content from industry sources and user-generated content.
• Design and oversee social media advertising campaigns, optimizing them based on key metrics.
• Analyze social media data and engagement metrics to evaluate campaign success.
• Monitor competitor social media activities and assess their impact.
• Engage with the online community by promptly and professionally responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
• Drive thought leadership by developing social media programs that engage and retain audiences.
• Stay updated on social media platform changes and tools, adjusting strategies as needed.

What You Have

• 7+ years of experience in social media and community management, ideally in fast-paced industries with exposure to digital media platforms. Knowledge of Crypto, Web3, Blockchain, or FinTech is highly desired.
• Proven track record in audience growth, content strategy, and platform alignment to build a strong brand through data-driven strategies.
• Strong expertise in social media management and digital journalism, demonstrating content strategy development across various social media platforms.
• Comprehensive knowledge of major global social media platforms and understanding of regional target audience platform usage.
• Proficiency in delivering advertiser campaigns on social networks.
• Proficient in social media publishing and analytics.
• Strong collaboration and project management skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

CoinDesk Inc and CoinDesk Indices Inc. are committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 + discretionary annual target bonus + benefits, which may vary based on geographic location and related experience.
