The primary objective of an Engineering Manager is to foster the growth and development of the engineering team within a dynamic and innovative environment. Effective Communication and Influence:
- Work in tandem with other engineering managers, product management, and human resources to steer team expansion, retention, and recruitment efforts going forward.
- Play a pivotal role in shaping what the company builds and who handles the task, driving growth planning, recruitment, and performance management of the engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in managing, mentoring, and cultivating a geographically dispersed team.
- Hands-on experience in constructing complex distributed systems, with proficiency in languages like Go.
- Focused on ensuring high code quality and robust test infrastructure.
- Emphasis on user experience and business value over technical novelty.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, such as concurrency, algorithms, and data structures.
Bonus Qualifications (not mandatory):
- Background in applied cryptography and finance industry.
- Familiarity with languages like Rust, TypeScript, Go, and Solidity.
