About The Role
We are in search of an experienced Engineering Manager for Quality Assurance (QA) to lead and oversee a team of QA engineers focusing on specific products and services like CCIP and Capital Markets at Chainlink. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the quality of our products and projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards upon launch. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing QA strategies, enhancing deployment speed, and improving reliability and quality.
Your Impact
- Lead your team by setting clear objectives and ensuring everyone understands the objectives and their significance.
- Mentor engineers to support their growth and development, providing timely feedback and clear growth plans.
- Act as a facilitator who helps remove internal and cross-team obstacles so that all team members can excel in their work.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Test Plans for CCIP and Capital Markets, covering new features, integrations, and product launches.
- Oversee the thorough execution of test plans before any product launch, whether through manual testing or automated execution by the team.
- Empower CCIP/Capital Markets engineers to take ownership of quality, train stakeholder engineers on QA practices, and offer on-demand testing services.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience, with a minimum of 3 years in software development management leading a team of 6+ individuals.
- Demonstrated track record in leading and managing QA teams, including recruitment, mentorship, and team development.
- Extensive knowledge of software testing methodologies, test automation frameworks, and QA best practices.
- Proficient in various testing tools and techniques such as Playwright, JIRA, TestRail, and Go testing.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse QA engineering team.
- Experience working with systems in production environments and supporting products requiring on-call duties.
Preferred Requirements
- Familiarity with blockchain technology, Web3 protocols, and challenges associated with building large, distributed systems.
- Experience managing other managers.
- Previous experience as the technical lead of a product.
- Experience navigating a hyper-growth work environment.
