Responsibilities:
- Crucial accountability for advancing BitGo's Wallets business by crafting a premier Wallets system targeting institutions.
- Collaborate with Product, Trust, Compliance, and other crucial stakeholders to establish the product and technical roadmap for successful execution.
- Provide consistent guidance and mentorship to the team and broader engineering department.
- Direct involvement in ensuring quality and timely delivery of the team's output.
- Supervise end-to-end availability and performance of vital services.
- Advocate best practices in engineering design and usability.
- Promote meticulous documentation, knowledge sharing, and facilitate detailed planning, estimating, and prioritization of roadmap objectives with management and product teams.
- Transparently communicate with company leadership to identify forthcoming opportunities and risks, ensuring engineering culture embodies values like open communication, collaboration, accountability, craftsmanship, and a client-centric approach.
- Align and engage stakeholders in domestic and global locations, potentially necessitating coordination in the PST/EST time zones for maintaining synchronization with a globally dispersed team.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proficient with over 8 years of professional software engineering experience, inclusive of more than 2 years of managerial experience.
- Familiarity with crypto space, either professionally, personally, or possessing an inclination towards it.
- Proven track record in successfully transitioning to a new organization in a managerial capacity.
- Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting and nurturing top engineering talent, emphasizing managerial leadership.
- Successful history of leading engineering-wide pursuits.
- Collaboration experience with product teams to formulate effective roadmap constructs.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, especially in tandem with business stakeholders.
- Holds an Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
