Responsibilities
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure comprehensive record-keeping spanning user experiences to financial reports
- Execute monthly closures for entities, encompassing billing, journal entries, account reconciliations, and account evaluations
- Review reconciliations and support schedules prepared by fellow accounting team members
- Coordinate with entity controllers to finalize inter-company reconciliations, ensuring compliance with group and local statutory stipulations
- Serve as a proficient resource in local accounting and financial reporting matters, supporting the Global Consolidation team in the consolidation process and ensuring timely reporting
- Lead local audits, statutory filings, and regulatory submissions with a focus on accuracy and punctuality
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements to optimize the efficiency and accuracy of month-end reporting
- Implement relevant financial systems as necessary
Requirements
- At least 8 years of cumulative experience in industry, preferably within FinTech, and Big 4 public accounting, with a minimum of 5 years in a general accounting or controllership capacity
- Bachelor's degree and a Qualified Accountant certification (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Proficient in International accounting and well-versed in IFRS
- Demonstrated capacity to design and implement efficient operational controls and processes in a heavily regulated environment
- Familiarity with Netsuite or a comparable ERP system is essential
- Independent and adaptable to the evolving landscape of a rapidly expanding company
- Thrive in a fast-paced learning environment and willing to shoulder additional responsibilities when necessary
