Exchange Operations Specialist- Junior/entry level, US
The exchange team is responsible for developing and maintaining a state-of-the-art trading platform that serves clients globally across APAC, EMEA, and North America. The team focuses on ensuring a seamless and secure trading experience for users.
The North American Derivatives Exchange (NADEX), a wholly owned subsidiary of a reputable organization, operates as a fully regulated derivatives Exchange in Chicago. It provides a unique platform where retail investors can directly access exchange membership without using a broker. NADEX offers innovative capped-risk derivatives contracts on various global financial markets.
We are searching for a motivated, creative, and dynamic individual to join the exchange support team. This role involves safeguarding the operation and administration of the Exchange and Clearing Organization, as well as exploring opportunities for process innovation and automation.
Responsibilities:
- Expertly manage, administer, and support the Production and Demo trading exchange, including tasks like updating symbols, creating and scheduling contracts, end of day processing, settling expired contracts, troubleshooting support issues, and ensuring business continuity/disaster recovery.
- Collaborate in developing and refining services, enhancing processes, and continuously improving service delivery.
- Engage in implementing and operating third-party tools to enhance, automate, and streamline services.
- Participate in quality assurance testing of services.
- Willingness to assist with various job-related tasks beyond the job description.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
- Knowledge or experience in cryptocurrency, prediction markets, options, and futures trading.
- Experience with databases, software, or IT technical aspects.
- Preferably, experience in securities trading software.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred experience in SQL, Python, FIX, Linux operating systems, job scheduling software, system monitoring software, clusters/high availability systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a mission-critical operational team.
- Demonstrated collaboration with internal departments for superior customer service.
- Familiarity or experience with Linux servers is a plus.
- Openness to periodic off-hours coverage.
