As a key member of our team, you will serve as a Senior Accountant/Controller at cLabs. In this role, you will oversee accounting operations, treasury activities, inter-company funding, and various financial transactions, bridging the gap between Finance and Operations teams. You will be instrumental in identifying process enhancements, cost-saving opportunities, and driving financial process improvements.
Some of Your Responsibilities Include:
- Managing treasury activities encompassing on-chain and traditional fiat transactions
- Supervising Accounts Payable functions and ensuring final approval and execution of payments
- Coordinating with Operations team and Tax Partner for tax filings in the US and Germany
- Providing financial reporting oversight for US and GmbH entities
- Reviewing and approving expenses for cLabs GmbH
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams on employee-related, payroll, and legal matters
- Recommending process improvements and identifying cost-saving measures
- Assisting with ad-hoc tax inquiries and ensuring employee compliance with company policies
Ideal Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including familiarity with cryptocurrencies and small company/startup environments
- Strong communication skills, US GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in Google Suite applications
- Expertise in US payroll and corporate tax filings
- Proven experience in leading month-end and year-end closing activities
