About the Role :
We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our remote team. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining APIs, handling data management, and integrating with the blockchain and other systems. You’ll work closely with the frontend developers to ensure seamless integration between the backend and the user-facing parts of the platform.
Responsibilities :
API Development: Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs to interact with the front-end and blockchain components of the platform.
Database Management: Work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) to store and manage user data, property metadata, transactions, and more.
Blockchain Integration: Collaborate with the Smart Contract team to integrate the backend with blockchain technologies like Ethereum and Polygon (Web3 interactions).
Security & Performance: Implement security protocols to ensure platform safety and high performance, including handling user authentication, payment systems, and personal data management.
Collaboration with Frontend: While your focus is backend, a basic understanding of React and frontend development will help you collaborate effectively with the frontend team for API consumption and integration.
Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs, improving both the backend and the overall user experience.
Documentation: Write clear and concise documentation for APIs, database structures, and integration processes to ensure smooth team collaboration and future scalability.
Requirements :
 5+ years of backend development experience.
 Strong knowledge of Node.js and Express.js.
Experience working with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other databases.
Familiarity with IPFS or cloud storage solutions is a plus.
Basic knowledge of React.js and frontend development (enough to collaborate effectively with frontend team).
Experience working with Web3 technologies (Ethereum, Polygon, Web3.js, Ethers.js) is preferred but not required.
Understanding of smart contracts and decentralized applications is a plus.
Security: Strong understanding of security best practices, especially in regard to blockchain interactions and user data.
Problem-Solving: Ability to debug, optimize, and troubleshoot complex systems.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes clearly and work in a remote team environment.
