Working at Wintermute

We are searching for a Frontend Engineer who is enthusiastic about creating user-centric products and applications. At Wintermute, you will have the chance to evolve and directly influence trading activities by enhancing all aspects of trading applications for both internal and external users. You will receive guidance from seasoned developers and traders, granting you significant autonomy and responsibility from the outset and fostering rapid learning opportunities.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be tasked with developing frontend applications for Wintermute's new trading products and client portals, in addition to internal trading applications and overseeing/frontend development of the corporate website. This opportunity allows you to contribute to shaping and driving the vision for a platform/portal from inception while leading the frontend experience across various stages of customer interaction.

With close collaboration across multiple Wintermute teams, including product, marketing, trading, and engineering, you will enhance your proficiency in constructing high-performance scalable applications, comprehend broader system architecture, and grasp the intricacies of algorithmic cryptocurrency trading.

We value experience gained from personal and professional projects, and an interest in algorithmic trading is advantageous.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of frontend development experience
• Ideally experienced in developing client-facing financial or professional services products
• Proficient in frontend tech stack including node.js, npm, javascript, typescript, and frameworks like React
• Familiarity with infrastructure requirements for frontend/servers such as CDN and web servers
• Strong understanding of frontend security best practices and vulnerabilities
• Knowledge of frontend-backend integration methods like AJAX for backend requests
• Capability to create responsive layouts
