About the role
XBorg is seeking a full-stack engineer who excels in a startup setting. This individual will collaborate closely with the product team to bring ideas to life as live features that cater to thousands of esports fans.
Versatility is highly valued for this position, prioritizing individuals who can efficiently build, comprehend products, deploy rapidly, and implement AI technology for accelerated progress.
Responsibilities
- Carry out end-to-end feature development, engaging in product discussions, coding for both frontend and backend, overseeing production deployment, and monitoring feature performance.
- Emphasize agile development, swiftly launching features, gathering feedback from esports teams, and iterating based on real user usage for rapid advancements.
- Contribute product insights, actively participating in decision-making regarding product development based on technical judgment.
- Work across the entire technology stack, from frontend technologies like React to backend technologies like Node.js/Nest.js and everything in between.
- Understand the product's focus on esports teams and gaming brands, showing a grasp of gamification's significance and what engages fans.
Requirements
- Proficiency in React for frontend and Node.js/Nest.js for backend development.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, TypeScript, AWS or cloud-based infrastructure.
- Startup experience or mindset, demonstrating an ability to deliver results swiftly in resource-constrained environments.
- Focus on product, prioritizing user problems over technical implementation.
- Genuine passion for gaming/esports, understanding the niche industry, and its target audience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines.
- Background in developing gamification features, rewards systems, or initiatives for community engagement.
- Familiarity with third-party API integrations (like Discord, Twitter, Steam).
- Previous involvement with fast-growing startups.
- Competence in designing and maintaining APIs.
