About the Role
Toku is seeking a skilled Global Payroll Manager responsible for maintaining customer relationships and overseeing large-scale payroll operations. The primary responsibility is ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction through efficient management of payroll, employment processes, token grants, and global immigration matters.
The role necessitates expertise in payroll operations, whether gained in an in-house capacity or at a payroll provider/EOR. This position entails a hands-on approach to customer relationship management, focusing on payroll accuracy, compliance, and providing exceptional service and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, addressing payroll-related inquiries and resolving routine issues promptly.
- Assist clients throughout the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition to payroll services.
- Collaborate with internal teams and local partners to rectify payroll discrepancies or errors efficiently.
- Escalate complex payroll or compliance issues to senior team members for timely resolution.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and address inquiries effectively.
- Conduct regular customer check-ins to evaluate satisfaction levels, identify areas for improvement, and offer guidance.
- Aid in processing payroll for employees accurately, including wage calculations, deductions, and compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure accurate payroll execution that aligns with country-specific laws.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a payroll role, either in-house or at an external provider.
- Proven expertise in stakeholder management, problem resolution, and relationship building.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective customer engagement.
- Customer-centric mindset with a dedication to customer success.
