We are seeking an entrepreneurial sales leader who is energetic, passionate, and proactive to lead our global sales team in selling Digital Currency solutions to Central Banks and their associated Commercial Bank ecosystems. R3 has an outstanding opportunity to expand our client base of Central Banks by leveraging our technology to develop Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) strategies. In this role, you will develop and execute our sales strategy, drive new revenue opportunities, and be responsible for the recruitment, empowerment, and performance of the Digital Currency sales team on a global scale. You will play a crucial leadership role within our rapidly growing Middle East team.

Responsibilities:

Revenue Generation:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of R3's products and services to provide effective mentoring to the Enterprise Sales team.
  • Take a hands-on approach in engaging with customers, team members, and deals to drive the momentum of sales with a creative mindset.
  • Recruit, enable, develop, and empower the sales team to proactively identify, qualify, and build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Coach the team to successfully close deals and navigate complex negotiations and organizational structures.
  • Advocate for our sales methodology and cultivate its adoption and expertise within the team.
  • Foster strong and effective relationships that lead to growth opportunities.
  • Be accountable for your team's forecast and pipeline.
  • Scale the sales territories strategically through thoughtful planning and development.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product and Professional Services teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Revenue Innovation:

  • Develop novel revenue streams and playbooks to maximize the value of our technology for customers, resulting in increased revenue for R3.
  • Provide feedback on customer requirements to enhance and validate our product roadmap.
  • Devise strategies to leverage ecosystems comprising Commercial Banks, Large Corporations, and Financial Market Infrastructures (FMIs).

Support Regional Collaboration:

  • Provide leadership and executive presence for the Middle East team.
  • Foster collaboration among various local and global functions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in direct sales team leadership.
  • At least 6 years of quota-carrying experience in a competitive market with a focus on acquiring new business.
  • Experience of at least 4 years in direct sales to Central Banking customers, including understanding of unique customer needs and sales cycles associated with Central Banks.
  • Proficiency in payments systems and Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), as well as the ability to establish deep trust with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Track record of successfully recruiting and managing a high-performing and talented software sales team, driving them towards achieving success.
  • Strong ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology.
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing sales playbooks.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-growth software company.
  • Demonstrated history of exceeding sales targets and achieving goals.
  • Disciplined approach to qualifying opportunities.
  • UAE-based with the ability to lead a global team and travel up to 50% of the time.
