About Connext
Connext is a protocol that enables secure and decentralized communication between different domains, specifically focusing on L2-L2 communication. It is known as the most secure and decentralized protocol in the market.
Connext allows for user-facing interactions between blockchains at a low cost and with minimal latency by utilizing canonical bridges for enhanced security.
To facilitate instant bridging, Connext utilizes a trustless third-party service provider known as a router. These routers are rewarded with fees.
Connext was founded in 2018 by Arjun Bhuptani and Layne Harber and currently has a team of 20 individuals.
About the Team
The Connext team operates on a remote-first basis and is globally distributed, with English being the primary language. We are seeking self-motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. While there are no specific time zone requirements, many team members work within US/European time zones.
Job Opportunity: Head of Marketing
We are seeking a skilled and driven individual to join our marketing team and support Connext's growth journey.
As a member of our evolving marketing team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on Connext's growing community, as well as contribute to the success of our rapidly expanding high-tech startup in the blockchain industry.
This is a full-time remote position, allowing you to collaborate with talented crypto team members from around the world!
You will report to the Chief Marketing Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand and Communication Strategy Development:
- Collaborate closely with the executive team to develop a compelling brand narrative and communication strategy.
- Create and distribute marketing content specifically tailored to Ethereum developers.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerge as needed to provide insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Insight Generation:
- Serve as a liaison between marketing, product development, and business development to ensure alignment in strategy.
- Develop methods for collecting user and integrator feedback through surveys and testing, transforming the insights into actionable guidance.
- Provide clear and concise briefs to the Head of Product regarding marketing requirements, target personas, and positioning.
- Collaborate closely with the development team to align expectations on timelines and marketing narratives.
- Campaign Development and Execution:
- Take the lead in developing inbound lead acquisition, partner marketing, and growth marketing strategies.
- Work closely with ecosystem partners and establish co-marketing campaigns.
- Create and execute marketing-related events and content on various platforms, such as Twitter and Medium, including copywriting and content creation.
- Analytics and Performance Optimization:
- Define marketing goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and budget allocation to ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Employ a data-driven approach to track campaign performance and optimize conversion rates.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a marketing role within a B2B or B2D tech product or service company, with a focus on Web3.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Web3 landscape, particularly EVM chains and their ecosystems.
- Content Creation: Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality written content aimed at Web3 developers.
- Strategic Execution: Capability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies for engaging and converting Web3 developers.
- Communication and Relationship Management: Strong written and verbal communication skills that allow for effective management of partner relationships and the creation of new opportunities with ecosystem partners.
- Data-Driven: Proficiency in tracking campaign performance and optimizing conversion rates.
