The HR Operation/Payroll Specialist role focuses on delivering comprehensive HR services throughout the employee lifecycle. This position involves managing payroll operations in specific countries, handling pre-payroll tasks, collaborating with payroll vendors, validating payroll reports, and preparing necessary paperwork for the global payroll team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all workforce administration activities such as onboarding, off-boarding, probation management, and document management.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and create a knowledge repository for commonly asked questions.
- Manage employee timesheets, leave administration, and compensation data to facilitate payroll processing.
- Handle enrollment and termination processes for commercial insurance.
- Assist with international assignments or relocations, collaborating with the Global Mobility team on visa/immigration services and logistical support.
- Maintain accurate employee and organizational data in the HR Information System and generate HR data reports.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and improve HR operational processes and tools.
- Lead regular and off-cycle payroll activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Design frameworks to address business and employee payroll concerns effectively.
- Monitor and evaluate payroll vendors, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Administer the onboarding and termination processes for vendors.
- Contribute to payroll-related projects and process enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 3–5 years of experience in HR operations or shared services with comprehensive payroll exposure.
- Experience in a large multinational corporation or fast-growing tech company preferred.
- Fluency in French and English (both written and spoken) required.
- Customer-oriented, adaptable to change, and capable of multitasking in high-pressure environments.
- Strong project management skills with acute attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problems-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, or related software.
