Incident Commander

This regulated exchange provides innovative, secure avenues for participation in various financial markets, marking an exciting phase in our corporate journey.
Role Overview:
We are in search of a proficient Incident Commander to join our dynamic operations team. This role holds crucial importance in ensuring the stability, resilience, and continuous availability of our trading and financial platforms. The Incident Commander will oversee high-severity incidents, lead root cause analyses, enforce service level agreements (SLAs), and bolster operational preparedness through automation, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume the role of Incident Commander for major outages, effectively managing IT Incident & Problem Management to drive resolutions, root cause analyses, and preventive measures.
- Monitor and uphold SLAs and service reporting, encompassing availability metrics, downtime, risk assessments, and customer satisfaction indicators.
- Supervise IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and maintain data integrity within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for accurate service governance.
- Improve operational efficiencies by promoting safe deployments through participation in the Change Advisory Board (CAB), conducting release washups, and leading continuous enhancement endeavors.
- Enhance automation, monitoring, and alerting systems to decrease Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR) and optimize operational processes.
- Develop and validate Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans across IT and relevant business units.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Incident Management, Problem Management, and IT Operations within fintech, banking, or trading environments.
- Proven track record as a Major Incident Manager/Incident Commander, adept at handling real-time high-severity events.
- Proficient in ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Configuration Management).
- Hands-on exposure to ITSM tools like ServiceNow, JSM, HPSM, CMDB.
- Proficiency in reporting and analytics related to availability, SLA compliance, and trends in Root Cause Analyses (RCA).
- Excellent communication skills and adept at stakeholder management, delivering under pressure.
- Sound understanding of software architecture and infrastructure at a high level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with trading systems, order management platforms, or exchanges.
- Ability to run Splunk queries and basic troubleshooting proficiency.
- ITIL v3/v4 certification or equivalent.
- Prior experience working in 24x7 global financial services environments, preferably in night shifts.
Salary Range: ₹20,00,000 - ₹60,00,000 per year
