We are searching for a skilled Incident Manager to become part of our TechOps team.
This role encompasses investigating and resolving Major Incidents in collaboration with various Tech and non-Tech teams to ensure the smooth operation of our ecosystem (such as Binance.com, Mobile Apps), and other relevant responsibilities.
The role involves close collaboration with Customer Support, internal Development/Infrastructure teams, Communication/PR, and other involved parties.
Responsibilities:
- Take charge of handling and resolving major incidents by coordinating with multiple parties, and efficiently manage the resolution of production incidents across different teams
- Deliver clear incident communication to stakeholders
- Lead and/or engage in Post Incident Review and Problem Management meetings with key stakeholders to assess events and identify areas for ongoing enhancement
- Work shifts on a global scale, covering local daytime hours, holidays, weekends on a rotational basis
- Continuously seek automation and improvement opportunities for Incident Management procedures, tools, and best practices
- Provide technical support and handle urgent escalations from external or internal customers or users in a high-volume transaction environment
- Collaborate closely with product and DEV teams, participate and follow through in iteration, release, and roadmap planning in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Over 5 years of experience in similar roles like Incident Manager, Technical Escalation Engineer, etc.
- Proficient in identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems logically and systematically
- Strong technology background in Unix/Linux, shell scripting, databases (such as Oracle, MySQL), web or app-related DEV, Technical Support, QA or project support experience involving HTTP protocol, JavaScript, RESTful, JSON, Web Service, TCP/IP, Linux/Unix
- Exceptional communication skills, ability to convey technical issues to engineers and executive management effectively
- Crisis management abilities, staying composed in high-pressure situations, demonstrating leadership in fast-paced environments, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, and solving complex problems
- Understanding of software development methodologies, coding standards (CICD), and ITIL processes including Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management
- Experience defining support processes and escalation management
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related scientific fields
- Background in Software Development is advantageous
- Experience with AWS and Incident Management in large internet companies is desirable
