The selected candidate will be responsible for carrying out thorough internal investigations related to compliance issues, fraud, and misconduct. Additionally, they will participate in internal audit projects aimed at evaluating and optimizing the company's internal controls, processes, and risk management procedures.
Responsibilities
Internal Investigations:
Lead and conduct in-depth internal investigations concerning allegations of fraud, misconduct, and policy or legal violations
Collaborate with different departments like HR, Legal, and Compliance to collect required information and documentation
Utilize forensic analysis and investigative methods to uncover facts and discern event sequences
Generate detailed reports of investigations outlining findings and suggesting corrective measures for preventing future incidents
Maintain strict confidentiality and sensitivity during all investigative processes
Internal Audit Engagements:
Engage in the planning and execution of internal audits across various business units, focusing on financial, operational, and compliance risks
Assess the efficiency of internal controls, highlighting weaknesses and areas that need enhancement
Provide practical solutions to identified issues during audits in an innovative manner
Aid in creating the annual audit plan based on risk assessment methodology
Prepare concise audit reports to communicate findings and recommendations to management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CFE) is preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in internal investigations, auditing, compliance, or similar roles within a corporate environment
- Proficiency in conducting discreet and confidential investigations while showing integrity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the skill to interpret complex data and information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report preparation and presentation to senior management
- Knowledge of forensic principles, fraud investigation techniques, and internal audit norms
- Proficient in utilizing investigation and audit software tools
- Able to employ data analytics for fraud detection
- Capability to work independently, manage multiple tasks concurrently, and thrive in a fast-paced setting
