This is a paid internship opportunity that can be used to fulfill your 400 hours of industry experience (PEP 40). The duration of the internship can range from 2 to 12 weeks, and it will be located in our Sydney George St. Office. We also offer competitive salaries and exciting cash prize competitions.
Background of Openmesh and Xnode:
Currently, a small number of corporations control a large portion of the world's data and IT infrastructure. This centralized control has caused issues such as social inequality, scandals, and privacy concerns. Openmesh aims to address these problems by providing a cutting-edge open-source cloud infrastructure and a global open data network. This network stores important global data without the interference of middlemen. It currently covers approximately 80% of the crypto and web3 ecosystem, and in the future, we plan to expand its coverage to include public health and scientific research data.
Openmesh allows anyone to create their own decentralized data cloud, connect globally, share data securely, and reduce deployment costs. One of our core products, Xnode, provides a platform for developers to build decentralized data clouds easily and quickly. By using Xnode, developers can sidestep licensing and setup fees and save a significant amount of deployment time. Additionally, our powerhouse analytics and query engine, Pythia, transforms raw data into actionable insights. We also offer Unified APIs that provide a single endpoint for all crypto and web3 data, making it easily accessible without any costs or registrations.
Our Vision:
At Openmesh, our vision is to democratize data and address information asymmetry on a global scale. We believe that access to reliable information is a fundamental right and essential for a free and democratic society. Our infrastructure is open-source and governed by an open-source community, ensuring that no single authority can control or alter the data.
The Opportunity:
By joining us for this internship, you will fulfill your PEP 40H industry experience requirement while also gaining valuable knowledge and experience. You will learn about groundbreaking innovations in data, cloud, blockchain, AI, and web3 infrastructure from industry experts and have the opportunity to use our open-source technology, attend hackathons and virtual conferences, participate in mentoring sessions, and work on R&D projects. You can choose to work in person or remotely, and there will be an upcoming hackathon on the 28th.
Top-performing candidates will also have the chance to receive a full-time job offer. During the internship, you will work on a project that will develop your problem-solving skills and teach you how to present your ideas, work as part of a team, and think like a professional. The knowledge and skills you gain through the program will prepare you for a successful career at Openmesh.
Why Join Us:
Joining Openmesh will give you the opportunity to lead a revolutionary product that is reshaping the data management and accessibility landscape. You will collaborate with a global community of innovators and leaders in the decentralized space, making a significant impact on how data is accessed and utilized worldwide. Our work promotes transparency, efficiency, and democratization. We offer a dynamic, challenging, and rewarding work environment and provide competitive compensation and benefits.
In addition to academic skills, we are particularly interested in the personal qualities, outside interests, and achievements that make you unique. We believe that these qualities contribute to the diversity and innovation of our team.
