Scope of the role
Responsibilities:
- Develop analytics solutions to offer insights into new and existing areas for management, traders, and quants
- Create data ingestion processes to gather and store large volumes of data from internal trading and external market systems
- Enhance data access framework for real-time dashboards, execution analytics, and market research
- Construct complex event processing (CEP) to monitor data anomalies and generate signals
- Improve system components for efficiency, robustness, and cost-effectiveness
- Engage in the full software development cycle: analysis, implementation, testing, release, and support
- Collaborate with traders, quants, and other KDB+ developers
Requirements:
- Based in the UK
- 4+ years of commercial experience in KDB+ development
- Clean and efficient coding practices
- Proactive, self-motivated, and confident
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong desire to learn and keen attention to detail
Knowledgeable in most of the following areas:
- KDB+/q
- Linux and bash scripting
- Level 1 and Level 2 market data
- Big data management, analysis, and visualization
- Continuous integration
Knowledge of the following is advantageous:
- Python and Java
