Location & Timezone
The position offers flexible location options, but requires working within the GMT+8 timezone with a standard schedule running from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexibility is granted for individuals to start work three hours earlier or later.
Role
We are in search of a seasoned Lead DevOps Engineer with extensive knowledge of the Ethereum ecosystem, specifically in configuring and managing Ethereum validators. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in traditional DevOps practices and be capable of independently evaluating and improving validator performance. Key proficiencies for this role include operating in cross-cloud environments, utilizing Kubernetes, and implementing automation, especially in the Ethereum DVT technology realm. The role will also involve collaborating with leading Ethereum ecosystems like Lido, Obol, and SSV.
Responsibilities
- Oversee configuration, management, and optimization of Ethereum validators to ensure top-tier efficiency and security.
- Conduct thorough independent performance analysis of validators, proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
- Lead the development and upkeep of extensive monitoring systems for validators, providing regular performance updates to stakeholders.
- Drive initiatives related to SSV technologies, collaborating with platforms such as Lido to enhance validator functionalities.
- Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Bare-metal platforms while leveraging Kubernetes for fault tolerance and scalability.
- Architect and implement advanced CI/CD pipelines to enhance software development and operational efficiency.
- Foster collaboration with internal teams to align Ethereum projects with broader strategic goals.
- Stay informed about Ethereum ecosystem advancements and EIPS technologies to optimize operational frameworks effectively.
Requirements
Must have:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE roles.
- Deep understanding of Ethereum ecosystem and experience in managing validators.
- Proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS and GCP.
- Ability to independently analyze and optimize system performance.
- Experience in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting.
Nice to have:
- Previous involvement with SSV, Obol technologies, and Lido.
- Advanced skills in managing multi-cloud environments.
