Position Overview:

An excellent opportunity is open for a Lead Product Designer at Nansen. As the most senior designer in the company, this role involves taking full ownership of the design function, setting the design vision, driving UX strategy, actively designing, and managing a small team of talented designers. The position provides a unique chance to shape the product experience at Nansen in a fast-paced and rapidly changing industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Leading the end-to-end design process across all Nansen products to ensure a seamless and user-friendly experience.
• Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to transform complex requirements into simple and impactful interfaces.
• Initiating and overseeing user research studies to gather crucial insights that drive design decisions.
• Employing interactive prototypes and motion studies to enhance alignment and provide a visualization for progress.
• Contributing to advancing and expanding the visual language and design system across website and product channels.
• Leveraging data to innovate new ways of visualizing and enhancing user interaction.
• Ensuring flawless execution of designs through close collaboration with Engineers.
• Exploring the integration of AI tools to elevate productivity and creativity within the design process.
• Leading and mentoring the design team to cultivate a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Remaining updated on design trends and incorporating innovative tools and processes into workflows.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of product design experience, showcasing strong UX/UI skills and modern product aesthetics in the portfolio.
• Previous leadership experience, demonstrating skills in managing and inspiring design teams effectively.
• Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc., along with experience in building and maintaining design systems.
• Strong communication skills to present design decisions confidently and incorporate feedback into work effectively.
• Background in leading user research initiatives and utilizing insights to guide design choices.
• Solution-oriented mindset, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Active interest in blockchain technology and crypto markets is a plus.
